Background

My name is Michael T. Bates.  I am the the proud son of the established and celebrated artist Edward S. Bates.  I am a self taught artist and acquired my skills by watching and observing, starting as a young child and into adulthood, the painting techniques used by my father.  They say: “The fruit does not fall far from the tree” and I this certainly would be the case with me and my father.
